The Robert
Frost Lakefront Cottage
In 1909, the "road less traveled" led Robert Frost and his family to camping on what is now the WilloughVale Inn’s property. During that visit he wrote in the poem, "A Servant to Servants": "I see it's a fair, pretty sheet of water, Our Willoughby! How did you hear of it? I expect, though, everyone's heard of it. In a book about ferns? Listen to that!"
The Robert Frost Cottage (renovated in the spring of 2010), along with our three other Lakefront Cottages, has been very popular with WilloughVale guests over the years. Be sure to reserve your cottage early as they book up fast!
